The company was founded by Arthur S.H. Whitelock when he acquired his first parcel of land in Parkstone in 1899.
Whitelock & Co continued working on defence projects throughout the war. The company were involved mainly in the development of estates in the 80’s building throughout Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire.
In 1999 the firm celebrated its Centenary and acknowledged the many thousands of properties, (residential, commercial and retail) that have been built since the business was first started, including the landmark Civic Centre in Poole built in 1932.
Still a family run business today, Whitelock & Co. Ltd. is now in its fourth generation.
